Hello everyone, it’s Markus here again. Thanks so much for staying true to me and my blog in which I’m going to be chatting to you about detox juice recipes and all that it entails. My very first post was really just a brief introduction to who I am, where I’m coming from and what has motivated me to become a juicing campaigner, or as others are raving and cheering, becoming a full-fledged member of the juice revolution. My About Page told you how hard life was for me after I threw it all away. It may have also given you the impression that life is still hard for me today.
But whether good or bad, life still has its silver linings, not so. In this sense, I have become used to making sacrifices. Originally, these sacrifices were not voluntary or willful. But these days, there are still hard days in front of me, I am at peace with my lot in life and am mentally a little stronger in regard to having to make sacrifices in certain areas of life. We all need to go through such stages in order to overcome past traumas and make improvements for the present and the future.
Before briefly introducing you to the content of this blog, let me also give a brief description of what detoxification entails and how the key components of its fruit and vegetable juice recipes should be made up. Detoxification is complex but hugely beneficial to those who are brave and ready enough to embark on its processes, set at different standards and stages, because it is essentially going to be cleansing the body of harmful toxins for once and for all.
Detoxification is, indeed, a process of self-sacrifice. There are a number of things that have to be given up to ensure that the detox program is a successful one in which all its set objectives are met. Self-sacrifice, in essence, begins days, if not weeks, before the actual detox juice diet must commence. This will be outlined in the posts that follow this introduction to The Juicing Blog. Going on a detox juice diet, after all the sacrifices have been endured, can bring huge benefits. Such benefits will also be spoken of in a later post.
Detox experts state that the detox cocktail of ingredients much essentially be composed of eighty percent vegetables and twenty percent fruit. At this early point of this blog’s life I can just point out quickly that this does not necessarily mean that each and every drink will be made up as such. For instance, a breakfast juice can be made up entirely of fruit juice, something many of you may already be familiar with in your current regular daily diets. Later on in the day, the focus can and does switch towards more vegetable content, and the evening meal, as it were, could be composed entirely of vegetables.
Before I outline the blog chronology, let me just remind you of the style it will be taking. I am prone to be forgetful too so this also serves as a polite reminder to myself. Because this blog is personal to a degree and I would not like to keep all my thoughts and feelings encountered during my own juicing evolution from you. Apart from being informative, the blog also needs to be a tome of encouragement and inspiration for the tentative readers who have still not made up their minds as to whether they’d like to go on a juicing diet or not.
The first post in this series will be chatting to you about principles and procedures in lieu of how to make effective use of your juice recipes. It’s not so much an instruction or how to guide at this point, but more a case of motivating the esthetic aspects of juicing alongside the necessary things to look out for or take care of before and while participating in the fruit and vegetable juice diet. The next post should follow on from that in the sense that it will be entirely motivational and should be loaded with inspiration; much like the perfect detox juice cocktail is loaded with essential nutrients and vitamins. Next up, we begin the process of outlining procedures, experiences and encounters related to challenging the body with ten day, thirty day and even sixty day juicing fasts.
I am more than likely going to be sharing with you my personal impressions on fasting, over and above the health imperatives of taking part in such a program which entails depriving the body of regular food that it was accustomed to before fasting. After the ardors, but ultimately promising outcomes, of these staged juicing cleanses have been got through, we switch over to an entirely positive post in which we simply wax lyrical on the benefits of putting together your own juicing cocktails at home. Encouragement and happiness prevails in the following post where I correlate the health and fitness imperatives that motivate folks to go on a juicing fast with the state of happiness.
Then it’s on to the thing that seems to concern most readers. Juicing in order to lose weight. There’s also a short inspirational post on how to proceed successfully into the first forays of a lifetime of juicing at home. Can we suggest recipes for beginners to try out? Well, let us see. There is one standard recipe that I can publish for you. Let’s see what others come to mind, solely for inspiration. A post is going to outline one Jack Lalanne, considered to be something of a pioneer in regard to the juicing revolution. More recipes, perhaps, will follow. This time the inspiration turns to the organic or green lifestyle and those who just can’t seem to get out of their current busy ruts.
Well, it seems I’ve taken up more than enough of your time. Let’s continue this juicing journey in our next post.
