This blog post will continue with the style of inspiration and motivation. Giving instructions are not my forte, however, it has to be said that motivating and inspiring others, on my part and in writing, isn’t always easy either. But, we always give it our best shot. This blog post talks about the benefits of juicing for weight loss and thereafter, when the pounds have been shed, continuing to juice in order to keep those fat cravings away. Because it is such an early time in my life experience with juicing diets and fasts, I shall have to collate a little here and there on what others have experienced from their weight loss and those who managed to stave off their fat cravings through their ongoing juicing initiatives.
WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT THE ONLY REASON FOR JUICING
When you motivate yourself towards juicing in order to reduce your excess weight, you do your body a few other favors by default. For instance, while most fruits and vegetables’ natural ingredients encourage or invigorate the reduction of weight in the body, it is also able to stave off risks such as cancer. It is thus fair to say that the benefits of juicing are exponential if the adherent to the practice remains consistent and faithful to the juicing revolution. Weight loss adherents, on the other hand, can always look forward to the body’s immune system being boosted.
I was particularly encouraged by two salient remarks left by other bloggers who have had a lot more experience with juicing than I have. One was particularly honest. The remark left was that essentially there will be a certain amount of fiber content in the juices, whereas elsewhere, even among those whom I perceived to be expert foodies or nutritionists on the side of juicing for health, there was a clarion call to drastically reduce the amount of fiber left in the body. The motivation was to encourage the easy passage of waste removal from the body.
THESE NATURAL JUICES INDUCE WEIGHT LOSS
The second remark, I thought, was rather charming, if not cheeky. This commentator said that no one who is seeking to reduce excess weight should ever consider eliminating eating solid fruits and vegetables. But she argued that through juicing, the overall consumption of fruit and vegetables is drastically increased. This is an interesting point well worth keeping in mind. False myths on juicing simply sought to lazily imply that juicing was nothing more than another attempt to strain the life and soul from natural, solid fruits and vegetables, when, in fact, all nutrients, vitamins and minerals, and more, are retained through the juicing methodologies.
In other words, nothing goes to waste during juicing practices and consumption, if you can pardon that expression. If you forgive my excitement, I am also getting ahead of myself. So, before we go any further, I just want to give a quick wrap below on what fruits and vegetables are ideal for weight loss goals. Then, perhaps, during our final motivation, I can return to the earlier heading by reminding you all that weight loss should not be the sole motif when embarking on a diet of juice consumption in excess, whether part of an everyday diet or a detox program.
THEY ALL ADD UP TO KEEPING FAT CRAVINGS AT BAY
- A quick wrap and liquidization of carrots interspersed with grapefruit, lime and ginger.
- Staying with carrots, add red beetroot and strawberries to the mix.
- Lime, but this time with the magical kiwi fruit and the ultimate weight loss champion, the water enriched cucumber.
- Take green, red and yellow peppers, or just one of a kind, and juice it with apples, another good source of weight loss effectiveness.
Experts seem to suggest that most diet plans aiming to encourage weight loss should include the beetroot. Its added incentive is that it is good for improving stamina during intense exercise regimes. Crucially, it also contains soluble and insoluble fibers which aid weight loss. The acid in strawberries encourages weight loss by reducing inflammation and restoring the natural health of weight-reducing hormones. There is also a boost of metabolism which suppresses hunger for fatty foods by way of slowing down the digestion of these foods.
ONE FINAL MOTIVATION FOR USING JUICING TO HELP REDUCE AND REGULATE WEIGHT
Since before my juicing days, I have been in love with the cucumber. It was always an easy and versatile vegetable to consume and use. You could even place two slices over your eyes to relieve yourself of the stresses of your day and give your overworked eyes a good break. It’s also low in sodium which might explain the previous need to add salt to cucumber slices in salads and sandwiches. It acts as a good filler for when you are well and truly famished without any risk of putting on any weight whatsoever.
This is a reiteration of sorts. Logically speaking and as mentioned earlier, increased consumption of fruit and vegetables via juice consumption will encourage weight loss. The juice volume’s increased levels of antioxidants also reduce the risk of contracting diseases and it certainly helps improve cardiovascular levels and reduce cholesterol. Weight loss in principle boosts the body’s metabolism and ability to fight off diseases and cleanse it of toxins.
That’s all for now. I really must be off. I’ve really only touched the surface here and I must confess that the examples l left at your door tonight are quite few and far between my favorite fruits and vegetables. The list is endless. I almost gave my game away by suggesting that because I enjoy most of my fruit and vegetable choices, as solids or as juices, I do not really have any favorites. It’s a tough call and it’s still a new world for me, so I’m going to go with my gut by recalling my favorites from the past, tomatoes, oranges, apples, potatoes and bananas.
